The Kolibri Games Newsletter

Hi there,

Enjoy the October Edition of the Kolibri Games Newsletter. This is where we review the events of the past weeks and keep you updated on recent company and product milestones.

Company Milestones

This month, we ended our first-ever company-wide Event Badge Challenge. The goal: for two months, earn as many event badges as possible in our games. Every badge is worth a certain amount of points and the more points we achieve, the cooler the reward. Collectively, we earned over 300 event badges together and almost made it all the way to the top. Next season we’ll get that awesome mystery reward for sure.

Additionally, our Co-CEOs Janosch and Daniel were honored as finalists at the EY Entrepreneur of Year Award in the “young entrepreneurs” category. The award is one of the most prestigious awards for corporate excellence worldwide. Every year, the German edition honors entrepreneurs who advance the national industry with their vision, ideas and commitment.

We Appeared In

Our Director of Business Development was all over the news this month: His blog post about what ownership means at Kolibri was featured in Making Games magazine. In addition, our friends from Game Analytics published his talk at the Arcade (R)Evolution in which he discussed what we learned from making idle games.

The Kolibri Games Blog

On our blog, we featured a report in pictures of our company trip to Thessaloniki (a lot of sun-kissed smiling faces by the pool). In addition, we released a little recap of the first Kolibri Experience Jam – a game jam that we hosted at the Kolibri HQ a couple of weeks ago.

Product Updates

Idle Miner Tycoon got a lot of new playable content this month. We added a whole new continent, the Ancient Continent, and one of the biggest features ever, the Impossible Island. Players can forge spare boosts into keys to unlock Impossible Island mines and hire the new legendary Super Manager, Sir Lorenzo.

In Idle Factory Tycoonwe managed to improve map loading times by over 30% and introduced a new Super Gem feature: players can earn gems and use them to level up their beloved Super Workers.

Kolibri Events

For one night, we transformed the Kolibri HQ into a spooky Halloween playground. A big thank you to all those who joined us – we hope you had as much fun as we did.

What Else Happened?

The more Kolibri Power, the better! As we’re always in search of new talent to join our team, we gave our career page a little revamp. Check out the new looks here and enjoy some new colors and funky animations.
